The countless witnesses to Dave’s ridicule of Tom and his frequent sharing of Tom’s auditing “secrets” should give him a clue, but his ego just won’t allow him to believe it. No intelligent person would even want Dave’s respect, but poor unstable Tom lives for it and just can’t get it. I am so sad for Suri – when she is old enough to understand what her dad is part of and has gotten his older children into, it will break her heart.

Ugh. I was going to pose the rhetorical question “is being a passive aggressive asshole an mandatory item on a disconnecting scilon’s checklist?” I notice that many of those letters start out ostensibly pleasant, say there’s no judgment, then proceed in the most annoying, in the most unimaginative way possible to cajole, disparage and condemn. Man, if I started out reading one of those letters with tears of sadness I think I may end its reading with at least a few tears of joy at ridding myself of such an asshole.
