All “faith-based” treatment is a joke at best and a death sentence at worst. Evidence-based therapies are required in all other areas of medicine; why is this religious hocus pocus accepted in addiction treatment? Guess drug addicts aren’t worthy of legitimate treatment even though addiction is classified as a life-threatening disease. Addicts are just expendable second-class citizens in the government’s eyes. Narconon is no better than the ex-gay brainwashing centers that attempt to convert gays to heterosexuality.

Get religion out of medicine before more lives are lost.

Totally in agreement! This isn’t some private investigation! Any allegations of abuse or neglect should prompt not only local and state investigations, but also investigations from DHS or at the very least Ombudsman!

Thank you! Sometimes I wonder if the conspiracy theory kool aid still isn’t affecting my thought processes! But, really this story is very weird. It really is not like street kids to do actual violence to the business employees. They could have just thrown bricks or rocks into the display windows……causing the store to shut down while repairs are done, as well as costing that store a lot of money! Also the PPD wouldn’t be nearly as adiment looking for window breakers. I can guarantee you that PPD isn’t going to be nice to any street kid now that an old man and employee were physically attacked!

lol yes yes it can! I don’t watch the news much these days! I caught this diddy last night watching the news with my dad. If I was thinking last night I would have linked the story thru KOIN or the local CBS,NBC affiliate.

It’s easy to “find nothing wrong” when you don’t look for anything at all. Grrrrrrrrrr

On a happier note: Been traveling and too busy to comment again lately (though I should mention that everyone here really keeps me thinking and laughing even when I don’t jump in, which is priceless on the road, so thank you, all), but I just scored my tickets for “Bunker Night” at the TomKat Project..
