Any legal person correct me if I’m wrong…but I’ve been told here in California it is against the law to film or tape anyone w/out letting them know you are doing so. WeStandTall: “Fatal blow”? Are you kidding me? We’ve exposed more FACTUAL things this organization has done…and still gotten away with. Sure the church can and will cry foul. I hate to be the voice of doom….but these jack asses get away w/ more shit than most people can possibly imagine. It’s ALL under the guise of “Religion”.

I’ll tell you a story that will perhaps put this in perspective. Years ago I went to a Cult Conference with Stacy Brooks, Bob Minton, and Jesse Prince. There were TONS of horror stories there, from many different cults—most who sounded very similar…. including many of our own. The last day 2 young girls stood up and told their stories. They told us how their religion had locked them up in barrels for 2 WEEKS. They had to pee in the barrels, no light, sleep in….well, you get the idea. The room was in utter shock. You could hear a pin drop.

I asked Stacy: “How could THIS possibly happen in OHIO..In the USA??? Her answer: “This country was founded on Religious Freedom….and thus these horror stories slide by”. Good luck w/ the camera. I have no question they will use it far more against the critics than anyone will against them. OUR BIGGEST move, imnsho, IS to get their Religious Status REMOVED. I can tell you one thing and that is the Tampa Org is soooooo hungry they will do anything to get you through. I was almost recruited in ’11 and know how they operated then. So it’s not hard to do.

Tory I’m a big fan but I believe that hidden camera footage WOULD be extremely effective in exposing church abuses. Such footage could possibly strike a fatal blow.

We live in an age where some will only be convinced if they can SEE things for themselves.

(Remember, an undercover video by a snarky college student single-handedly took down ACORN in 2010).

I believe “video” is the most powerful medium there is to expose all types of ills & corruptions in society, from war, to the inhumane treatment of animals, to the CoS.

The church can’t cry foul over their critics if such a critic has recorded a terribly damning undercover video, which would actually be rather easy to achieve. If Yuliya really has footage of the church instructing staff of outrageous fundraising tactics it would be devastating.

Footage of Miscavige acting like the punk we all know he is would be the holy grail.

There is nothing “underhanded” or dishonest about filming reality.

I don’t blame anyone for being skeptical, but you’re misrepresenting what the story says. Yes, she had been in Scientology earlier under different names. But with her new name, she says she enrolled in classes at Tampa org to establish herself, and it was those classes — which she took in Tampa — that helped her get through the EPF in Los Angeles so quickly. I’m not telling you to believe her, but the specific “hole” you’re referring to here doesn’t exist.

She says she changed her name, and there was a long string of aliases in the original story.
This thing is hella fishy bullshit, that is the one thing for sure. What kind of bullshit it is remains to be seen.
