AMEN sketto! “The Church of Scientology Sherman Oaks” has been dead for awhile. Nothing in the windows…zero activity each time I’ve driven by. It used to be “The Enhancement Center” where most of the Celebrities were audited, until Davey boy decided oh no! They ALL have to go through “Celebrity Center”, which many don’t want to do. Good job, Dave! Years later—the joint is crashed. I just called, it now says what you say: “Church of Scientology Sherman Oaks and Beverly Hills”. HUH? Sherman Oaks is on one side of the Mountains (for those not living here)..and is “in the Valley”. Beverly Hills is about 30 minutes away, over the hills, IN Beverly Hills—way different location. Those in BH would not go to that mission, just due to the connection with Sherman Oaks.LOL ahhhh the hits just keep on comin! 🙂 Tick Tock, Tick Tock….time is on *our* side!

Nope, other than the general enterbulation that this has caused on their site, along with the massive number of comments on the Bunker. Plus any cultural references we might make in the future about any of this. The day this all hit, Marty dumped on Derek, which got my back up (I am not the only one, of course. It was uncalled for and quite unacceptable.) Derek is the hero of the week. He politely turns it back to Marty and his role in the cult. Marty, pissed, then erased several comments in the string. Derek did
GREAT. Marty is again pissed.
So you can see why the comments are unfolding the way they are.

Here’s a summary of what’s over there. I read it all today, since I was away for a bit. The comments and responses reply with a fair dose of name-calling and well, tone, as you can imagine.

Comments posted anywhere by “critics” –ok, that’s us –debunking LRH or scientology are unacceptable, it seems. “If the shoe fits…” is a stock reply offered up by Marty. Methinks it’s somehow being taken as a criticism of Marty by extension. Otherwise, I don’t think we’d see all the tone (which ranges from anger to peevishness) and evidence
offered up via trite sayings show we are wrong/they are right/ etc. Lots of stuff conveying how evil/stupid/dangerous, etc. said “critics” are, because we don’t understand all that greatness and goodness that seeps throughout the writings of LRH and MR.

A reference about a “rock slam” from Steve Hall, with Marty replying that he’s offered up (something which sounds like a very snarkyish kind of) olive branch. Minor point amidst all the comments, but I am curious about the backstory here. Treacly praise for Marty dribbled in throughout the comment field from loyal followers.

There was some blather about the “solidity of the universe is created by energy of opposite opposing forces” and “dichotomy”. I don’t know what Marty’s talking about, and I am going to ignore one commenter’s remark to simply “word clear” it. After a range of comments which might have said that this made no sense, Marty offers to clarify it in today’s blog, saying that “If you read the Tao of Physics …or Scientology OTII, there is no need for further explanation.” Hmph. (Note: WIN goes to Alonzo, who managed to include a warm-hearted compliment in with a bite about Marty being too general in his comments. Marty offers back a very nice compliment in return. I laugh at this part – it is funny).

They think that if we truly knew the “goodness” of LRH and scientology, we would believe just like they do. I wouldn’t count on that happening any time soon, would you?
This last one repeated over and over again, with loaded language, cult-speak and jibberish. The nice ones think it’s just that we’re misunderstood; the bulk of them think we’re a cult in and of ourselves because we criticize LRH (how dare we?). They tossed in a few references to ARC, blah, blah, blah. Oh, and it’s our fault. Ha.
