I know someone who was a serious, on his last legs drug addict who got cleaned up at Narconon. So, I know first hand that it does do some good for some people. He was lucky. His family was in a position to pay for him to go through the program twice. It is a very expensive program.

Narconon isn’t worthless but they, like the Church, are very out-ethics (to use Scientology terminology) and need to get honest about who they are, what they do, and their success rate. That’s my objection to them. They aren’t honest, and do not have proper medical oversight and if they are Scientologists, it goes without saying that they are money motivated, arrogant and think they have all the answers.

That’s a potentially dangerous mix and I am glad they are being called to task and sorry about the loss of life that brought this about.

Yup, you can get prosecuted for hitting someone, whatever you use.
I’d say, it’s too bad he hasn’t been prosecuted for all the assaults he’s committed on staff.
