Chisheila, I have been there in spades. You have to explain nothing to me. I guess the difference between you and me is, I have a bit of regret but it keeps getting smaller every day. I blame no one. From my perspective we are in this life to learn. You have gone through an experience that few can replicate or know about. You are out of it. Don’t let anything put you in a frame of mind where you are back in the past(regret). You sound really good to me. Keep it up.

Awesome! Proof that the young are curious and this is the time when the cult can get their hooks in. As I mentioned above, one of the best things anyone can do is inform their friends and family of the dangers of this and other cults. My son is 15 and he’s well-aware of the cult, and though my family thinks I may go a little overboard in my enthusiasm, they know it’s for the greater good and helping others.

Just know that there are people out there trying to help get him back to you. The exes, people like Tony O. and Anonymous are working tirelessly to bring an end to this madness. As an anon, my entire family and all of my friends have been made aware of the evils of this and other cults.

Bob, personally, I’m still ashamed of that time in my life. Life is such a gift and there is so much more I could have done with my youth, my teen years, my 20s, had I been more realistic. It’s impossible to explain to others the power of being caught up in an idealistic dream with a large group and leader that continually reinforces that as if it is reality. I pray every day that I will live long enough to accomplish the good in life that I had first intended and become the best person I can be. I was robbed of that and my loved ones and community were robbed of the showers of things I wished to contribute, to share with them, to do with them – they were robbed of these experiences and so was I. I can’t make that up – and doubt I will ever feel anything but shame for that. I thank God for every day I am alive and out of that cult that I have the opportunity to experience and share the genuine goodness of others and make up that time with my loved ones and others in whatever way I can.
