I’m a strong believer in peeps getting educated in *something they love*..as it does help their chances, more than not. Aaawwwww. No idea of your age or gender but can’t help but think ‘how cute…..a baby critic’. Bad news….your friends and family won’t get it – this obsession with some weird-arsed religion that others dismiss. The good news – these pages and other critical sites are filled with smart, funny and compassionate people. I compare my 18 months learning about scientology to a liberal arts degree, learning about religion, psychology, philosophy etc. Every thread sends me to Amazon and wikipedia to read more and more tangential material.

As for TC the jury is very much out. It is great that Lawrence Wright is spending a lot of his press on Going Clear talking about the need for celebrities to take a lead on educating themselves on the abuses and reforming scientology.

I’m still very dubious. I don’t want to have my face on their film for one thing. And high-pressure sales tactics are not my fave. Would they insist on a personality test before showing the movie? What’s the drill, do you know?
And yes, I’d find it extremely depressing. BTN is all for it, but my question is, besides the lulz, what good can I do these people? (I did think of leaving Chuck Beatty’s and Tori Magoo’s phone numbers lying about ).

Michael Vick at least admitted to lying in the end. The Co$ will never ever ever admit that they have lied, are wrong, or in any way at fault in anything that has happened related to them over the course of their history. As subgenius mentions, I think it’s worth holding Strick to his word. Maybe a concerted campaign showing Strick just how much lying is going on within $cientology would convince him that their dirty millions aren’t worth his reputation in the long run.
