Good question. I was always public and I would answer that they needed me to bring in the bucks and that usually did it. Even the SO, “oh but we need some good people” phooey!
Interesting tidbit: When I was at the new Tampa org opening a woman joyously said ” Oh can’t you just see it when everybody will be on staff or SO in the future?” I said “well then who’s going to pay and where will you get the money from?” boy, did she give me a real dirty look!
Maybe they’re jealous and want others to suffer with them, or they just can’t think straight?

Seriously? If I was out on Colorado Blvd getting shitfaced and some Scilon stuck a flier in my face ruining MY good time…it would get bloody. Then, I’d take another shot. It might send me to jail, but what a fine story that would tell.

LIES on the library. You forgot Asotin County, Washington bitches and good luck on that one because I’m watching it like a hawk. Fiction…..fine, but by God there are no Sciontology books in that library and there won’t be.

Here’s a serious question: why does Scientology have such a hard on for people to join staff? This question has occurred to me a few times in the past, and it recently came back up while reading the Vance Woodward book, Addicted to Scientology. They were always pestering him for money, of course, but they were also relentless about joining staff. At one point, they talked him into quitting his high-paying lawyer job so he could become a staff member. What does Scientology get out of cutting off someone’s flow of income (especially one who sends piles of cash their way) so he can become a staff member, get services at reduced rates and help take care of an org mostly occupied by crickets?

Went back to facebook and Cat Addicts Anony-mouse and clicked through Zombie Kitty Attacks then laughed myself into hysteria. This has been a roller coaster ride of an emotional season for me. I take it as it comes. Looking forward to the Party here tonight. Am I a geek now?
