Okay I guess the “hate group” you’re referring to is the collective Anonymous. Not everyone here identifies with Anonymous. There are ex-scientologists, independent scientologists (less though here because they don’t like the ridicule of the beliefs in scientology that goes on here, but they still come sometimes) old guard protestors who are most definitely not anonymous and random others + some who identify with Anonymous.

The indies tend to congregate on a bunch of their blogs, I subscribe to Marty’s but no others. I’m also on ex-scientologist message board (clue in the name); Operation clam bake (old guard) and why we protest (anonymous activists).

The only common thread in all these sites is that the church of scientology is a corrupt, corrupting, abussive and so dangerous organisation that needs to exposed for what it is and “dismantled in its current form” .

Each site has a different mix of people. As before most indies don’t like the ridicule of their beliefs. Not everyone agrees with some of the protest activities. Everyone has their own approach to expressing their thoughts about the church of scientology organisation.

Some people do hate scientologists for what they are; you may think this is the prevailng behavior but I don’t; since I’m watching most things I have a very good overview – it’s what I do. Some people hate certain individuals in the independent camp for personal reasons. I don’t particulary hate anyone.

I do ridicule the beliefs but not on Indy blogs because I respect them; I will debate the beliefs with them though and be honest in my opinion of them; my posts use to be censured by Marty has stopped doing that now perhaps because he realises the value of discussion.

So the beliefs are many and varied as are the practises (protest activities). Sure you can stir up a hornets nest on any site by going against prevailng opinion but that’s true of any social group. Just because someone like you, adept at stirring things up, can do so does.not prove a social group is a hate group.

I don’t take the piss out of Jett Travolta either. I generally don’t take the piss out of people though, but that’s just me, the individual.

Unlike you my friend, I am not married to Scientology or what they do or think. One day you might be free of Scientology but the kids you are hanging out with here would punish you savagely for not parroting the sacred anti beliefs. Have you been on very many comment boards? People Magazine, CNN, etc. have extremely snarky commenters far worse than this site, so I encourage you to visit other sites to see that it’s not just anti-scientologist blog commenters who make fun of John Travolta’s hair. Late night comedians joke about many celebrities, including scientologist celebrities. Mitt Romney has his fair share of jokes about his religion and hair, too. You seem to focus on this site as opposed to looking at the big picture of society.

The post which you refer to, with the Saturday Night Seizure comment was made by an individual who has epilepsy and has seizures himself. Does his comment reflect everyone’s taste here? No, but I’m not the moderator here, and neither are you. This is reflective of real life. We are responsible for our own actions. This blog is put together by Tony Ortega, but he has written other posts since this one, so he doesn’t stay babysitting at past posts. Why have you remained here on this article? Why don’t you check out the articles he has posted since this one? He posts a new article almost every day.

To be honest, you lost mega points with me when you made fun of Midwest Mom. Calling her a crackpot was not necessary, and showed a lack of respect for someone who was trying to be helpful.
Crackpot? Hardly. You need to drop the attack mode. It’s classic LRH method, and not a good way to have a successful dialogue here or in the real world.
