I had 13 years altogether in Scn. Otherwise have spent before and after those years searching and finding truths in Scn and other truths. Something as simple as the teaching or words from others long ago… If you believe it, it is true or “You are what you think”. I did get something out of dianetics and scn, but I’m easy, but it can be found elsewhere, just different oh, except for Xenu. Always enjoyed Sci-fi tho.

? wouldn’t disagree with that but for one thing. Drugs are a huge source of income for giant companies all around the world. I hope we agree on this. And just one other thing. Psychosomatic illnesses are “new” and need to be further researched. That’s all. Otherwise we do agree.

There has been a revival of Advaita Vedanta in the west, or a modern “nondualism” movement which you might find interesting.

Jens, sorry I wrote such a long answer, I didn’t intend to in the beginning, but then I kept on writing. I hope it is not tyring:

I think that Dianetics had errors and exaggerations, LRH being a very PR guy, he never accepted it openly. But he did say what is true for you is true for you. So, I don’t JUST believe in that stuff… I had delivered some sessions in the past being an auditor without an e-meter and I saw how it works. The mind is set to store things and the more you can address those things and the closer you do, like going back to the incident and getting the person to “live through it again” as if it were NOW, the more of an erasion you have. I am sorry, this is not belief, this is a fact. same with me burning my finger with the wrong cup in the micro wave and “going back” to the incident and touching again the (warm) cup and repeating the whole sequence of touching, being burnt, wanting to drop the cup, putting it down on the table on my right, for about 20 times until there was no much pain on my finger. Going back and “re-living” or repeating the same sequence of events isn’t palatable to Life. Life avoids pain, however that pain is stored in the mind. In Greek we have a proverb saying “Whoever gets burnt in the (hot) soup, blows the yoghourt”. Why is that? That’s the reactive mind in full operation. A=A=A meaning anything=anything=anything is the basis of that Mind. It operates on automaticies, doesn’t think in any analytical way. We have a Stimulus – Response Mechanism here. It’s a coarse Mind, the reactive mind, invented for protection, in the beginning but now due to a long sequence of similar events (soups, yoghourts, blowing yoghourts, crazy stuff) it plays a negative role now.

This is not just belief. Sanity is the ability to differentiate. The higher you can differentiate the saner you are. I think Scientologists are going through a phase before they will loosen up and find good in more things around them. Life is a game and ignoring its rules it becomes a very bad game, where you just lose. Who wants to lose all the time? Nobody. This is a law. People want to win in life and go with the winner. That’s natural. There is no belief or disbelief. Life is just a live field where competence (or incompetence) can be demonstrated. And if you ignore basic laws, like the law of gravity you become a statistic. And the speed of things changing on this Planet picks up tremendously, look how much technology has advanced in the last 30 years. It’s not the same with Man and its Mind and the understanding of those phenomena unless we call that technological Progress a Civilisation. There is an inner quality that keeps us all afloat and able to build societies. That alone has kept Man together and that IS his basic belief that Man is basically good. Otherwise not even this blog could exist. There is people coming here, devoting their time for some purpose they believe and see it’s right. But… but that doesn’t mean that they cannot discuss and listen to other views. They CAN HAVE other views. Why? It’s that inner quality of theirs that makes them different, more polite, more open and basically not afraid to hear other views and of course have arguments and, why not, evidence against them.

You cannot live Life with Beliefs anymore. Technology and Science have proven Religion wrong many many times and this is the problem of Humanities these days. People don’t trust them anymore. They are a decaying science or field. They are systems of belief not trusted by modern man because they are of no value to him anymore. Science has taken the lead. But Science won’t be able to explain that inner self and qualities of a person and there comes philosophy and if you want, religion. We need some new knowledge about that inner self. That is all I did in scientology. Nothing more nothing less. I do believe (lol, ok I will use the word “Know” but some might find it egotistical) that there is knowledge of those things. And it is a bit complex. The game has become a bit complex. The Mind the Human Soul the Body…. All this is a pain in the ass. But unfortunately no belief is going to make anything happen. You need sharp and precise knowledge of those phenomena that are patterns of the Mind or even part of the Human Soul and of course the Body.

I would be very happy to find more fields other than Scientology explaining to me such phenomena in a concise and compact way like Hubbard did. I am operating like any Human on Words that is Symbols of things, conditions, phenomena and trying through analyticalness (sorry for the -ness, guys) to understand such phenomena and understanding them leads me to new conclusions. Knowledge is like a pyramid. You observe things and you build up some data from which you can draw conclusions, then based on those conclusions, you can observe in a new way things which gives you more/other data now, not available to you before thus you come up with higher/finer/better and more workable conclusions about Life. What is the top of the pyramid? I am not going to comment on it. It’s not easy… to say and people just accept it. But what for example I have observed here and that’s my conclusion is that people don’t want to Believe things and Reject anything that is given to them on a ready made basis. They are free people and that’s another quality of a free being. To be free to think for himself and not be told what IT IS. And then they are polite and want some discussions, ok they have humor, a LOT, and have fun here…. so based on that, I attempted to stay here and speak my soul, as I would say, and my mind in a way that is not gonna sound holier-than-thou, I hope and get a bit.. I don’t know involved with the people here… which was a good experience for me. Sorry for writing so much and thanks for listening to me.
