Bunker readers! If you were never a member of Scientology but always wondered what it was like to get tracked down and sent invites to the next big church event, we have you covered!
Former church member Ronn Stacy says it’s been five years since he was declared a “suppressive person” by Scientology, but he found that he’s back on the church’s call list.
“Desperate times? I haven’t been on Scientology services since 2009, and I was declared SP in 2012. But I’m back on the invite list apparently,” Ronn tell us.
He shared with us a voice mail he got yesterday, inviting him to one of Scientology’s biggest annual events — L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday, which falls on March 13 but will be celebrated at Clearwater, Florida’s Ruth Eckerd Hall on Saturday, March 11.
“It sounds like she was reading from a script, and probably with a Product Officer standing over her.”
We think it’s a hoot. We put some images from past birthday events to liven it up even further…
Chris Shelton finishes his deep dive into ‘Scientology’!
Says Chris: “This is the final video in the Deconstructing Scientology series. This has been quite a task covering all the academic apologetics and nonsense these guys have spewed, but I think we’ve learned some pretty interesting things along the way. In this last episode, we examine the opportunism and deceptions the Church of Scientology engaged in so they could appear to be the heroes of 9/11 when in fact they contributed almost nothing to the overall effort. Now that this is done, you’ll be seeing more interviews and what I hope will be a pretty interesting analysis of some GO/OSA policies and then I’ll be starting a new series to take on the core bits of Scientology technology (including that E-meter video I’ve been promising for so long). It’s time that the subject of Scientology itself get the same analysis we just gave to these apologetics. Enjoy!”
Aaron Smith-Levin goes in depth
Aaron Smith-Levin sent us a link to a podcast he took part in this week. From its description…
“Ex-Scientologist Aaron Smith Levin joins us once again to discuss the latest news regarding Scientology. Aaron begins by discussing his experiences on Leah Remini’s groundbreaking television series Scientology: The Aftermath. Aaron explains what it was like being interviewed and opening up about a dark chapter in his life and the trauma that Scientology brought down on him. Aaron also talks about the response from Scientology against Aaron, which has been in the form of his very own Scientology hate site.”
