I remember reading an average of something like 9% each year for 3 years, looking at things one way. I guess I should clarify linear. What I meant was that the percentage of defections has remained constant. That, of course, means that the defections are not linear.

My theory is that there will really be a tipping point, which I would call an acceleration of defections happening. I believe it will happen because the Co$ has a very unwieldy organizational structure. This is because DM is such a control freak.

Control freaks do two things to keep control: keep organizations in turmoil and make sure that decision making is not distributed. Both are the things that drive people out of organizations.
